Paranormal Investigation
Our Methodology
Paranormal investigation isn’t a science – regardless of what some folk would have you believe. No-one really knows the best way to capture evidence of a ghost… or even if it’s even possible.
Whilst we take a pragmatic and scientific approach to investigations, the truth is that theories on the best approaches and equipment are constantly changing and evolving – and certain methods fall out of fashion as new ideas emerge.
Regardless of how confidently anyone may speak of the absolute best and definite methods and equipment to use, it is all purely experimental.
Each and every paranormal investigator in the world is trying whatever they can to somehow capture that elusive audio/video/image or other data which may be definitive evidence of the existence and presence of a spirit.
Each investigator brings with them a collection of their own equipment, according to their personal preferences around what they each enjoy working with. Standard data-capturing equipment includes highly-sensitive audio recorders, in addition to cameras for taking high-resolution photos and HD videos.
We record environmental data as part of each investigation: monitoring temperatures and electro-magnetic fields (EMF), and noting any significant fluctuations.
Each investigator also notes down their own feelings and emotions, as well as anything they experience.
Having multiple sets of photo/video/audio recordings allows cross-referencing and comparison after the investigation – useful for establishing where there may be a rational explanation for an event… and allowing us to identify those occurrences which cannot be explained by normal means.
